Ariel Quartet Concert Series

A Four-Part Concert Series Showcasing CCM's String Quartet-in-Residence

Named quartet-in-residence at CCM in 2012, the Ariel Quartet has quickly earned a glowing international reputation. The talented musicians played before a sold-out crowd at their Carnegie Hall debut earlier this spring and have been praised by the New York Times for their "full-blooded, dynamic playing."

The Quartet brings that excitement back to CCM for its next concert season, which features works by Bartók, Beethoven, Dvořák, Schubert, Shostakovich, Widmann, Wiesenberg and more.

Series highlights also include collaborations with CCM faculty artists Soyeon Kate Lee, piano; Rachel Calin, double bass; and Ran Dank, piano.

The season will conclude with the world premiere of a new piece by Mohammed Fairouz, commissioned by Ann and Harry Santen and CCM for the Ariel Quartet.

Experience for yourself the Quartet that has the entire country buzzing:

"rock stars of the classical scene." - Cincinnati Enquirer
“Characterized by its youth, brilliant playing and soulful interpretations, the Ariel Quartet has quickly earned a glowing international reputation.” - The News Leader
“consummate musicianship” - The Wall Street Journal
“a gift for filling the pristine structures of Classicism with fire.” - New York Times
UCIngot

The Ariel Quartet presents a series of four concerts in the acoustically stunning Corbett Auditorium:
