Opportunities

The Ballet Ensemble features works by the Dance Division faculty and guest choreographers with music provided by CCM Ensembles. The Choreographers' Showcase provides students an outlet for choreographic experimentation and added performance opportunities. In addition to the Dance Division's three annual concerts, there are several informal showings throughout the year. Qualified students may have the opportunity to perform with professional regional dance companies including Cincinnati Ballet, Dayton Ballet and Kentucky Ballet Theater while continuing their studies at the conservatory.
                  

The Real World

CCM alumni have performed as members of numerous dance companies including Ballet West, Atlanta Ballet, Austin Ballet, Bejart Ballet(Belgium), Cincinnati Ballet, Cleveland Ballet, Louisville Ballet, BalletMet, Dallas Ballet, Dayton Ballet, Dayton Contemporary Dance Company, Harkness Ballet Company, Joffrey Ballet, Joyce Trisler Danscompany, Lewitzky Dance Company, Lexington Ballet, Nashville Ballet, New York City Ballet, Ohio Ballet and Vienna Opera State Ballet.

More recently, CCM alumni have gone on to perform with professional dance companies including Ballet Met, Ballet Theater of Annapolis, Ballet Long Island, Ballet Omaha, Ballet Quad Cities, Channel Islands Ballet(CA), Colorado Ballet, Dayton Ballet, Georgia Ballet, Kentucky Ballet Theater, Louisville Ballet, Martha Graham Dance Comapany and Phildanco. Other alumni serve as teachers and administrators in performing arts schools, university dance programs and professional company schools.
