The Electronic Media Division has seven full-time faculty members with expertise and experience in the various areas that make up the media universe. We are supported by an excellent staff and a strong team of adjunct instructors.

Kevin F. Burke

Kevin Burke is CCM's digital cinema and video production expert, having more than two decades of professional experience as a videographer, editor, director, producer, researcher and teacher.

Professor Burke teaches the Digital Video, Post Production, Single-Camera Production, Lighting, Media Aesthetics, Advanced Video Production and Media Topics courses within the division.

Over the past 18 years, Professor Burke’s work has received multiple awards from the Broadcast Education Association, the Telly Awards, the Communicator Awards, the International Radio and Television Society and the National Broadcasting Society.

In 2007-2008, Professor Burke served as Director of Photography for the interactive documentary Akai Kutsu: the New Issei, which won the Best of Festival Award at the Broadcast Education Association’s 2008 Festival of Media Arts and the Award of Distinction from the Communicator Awards. His documentaries were also nominated for two national CableAce Awards.

In the last few years he has served as Executive Producer for the Gold Rush Expedition Race documentary series, three 90-minute documentaries that have aired nationally on NBC's Universal Sports Network. The 2012 Gold Rush Expedition Race also won the BEA's 2014 Best of Festival Award.  

Professor Burke joined the E-Media faculty in 1996. He taught previously at the Savannah College of Art and Design, where he earned his Master of Fine Arts. His bachelor’s degree is from the University of Georgia.
