Steve Gillen

Steve Gillen

Steve Gillen teaches Electronic Media Law. Steve worked for nearly 20 years in publishing prior to entering private practice in the middle 1990’s. He is presently a partner at Wood, Herron & Evans (a 140-year-old Cincinnati law firm focused on intellectual property) where he concentrates his practice on publishing, media, and copyright matters. Steve started teaching with us in 2002 and enjoys the challenge of making a complicated subject accessible, interesting, and relevant for our e-Media students.

John Hebbeler

John Hebbeler

John Hebbeler is the technical production manager of the E-Media Division and also serves as an adjunct instructor. He teaches television studio production courses in the fall and winter quarters and digital audio production in the spring. John is a professional musician who performs locally in Cincinnati and is involved in a variety of music related projects. John graduated from the E-Media program in 2001.

Adjunct Professor Norma Rashid

Norma Rashid

Norma Rashid teaches News Writing and Broadcast Performance.  Ms. Rashid started working in television in Raleigh, North Carolina before she came to Cincinnati in 1983 to work as a news anchor at Channel 5 until 2000. Ms. Rashid started teaching with us in 2005 and loves the hands on experience students get in the E-Media division. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in journalism.

Ms. Rashid's co-anchor at Channel 5 was Jerry Springer. Hear her take on Jerry then and now and what she stresses in her teaching.

Zachery Riggins

Zachery Riggins

Zach Riggins retired in September, 2011 as the video productions coordinator for UC and E-Media. Zach will continue to be an E-Media adjunct teaching a course on advanced lighting technique for digital video production. Zach is also a respected member of the local production community and has many film and commercial TV credits.
