E-Media Career Day Features Alumni

The Electronic Media program is bringing some of the best back to campus for Career Day on Wednesday, January 25, 2012.  The entire panel is comprised of graduates of the Electronic Media program.

The Career Day panel represents a variety of positions throughout the media field, as well as people in early and middle stages of their careers.  Bill Lanesey Sr. Vice-President and General Manager of WXIX-TV, will serve as moderator.  Lanesey is a member of the E-Media Advisory Panel.

Panelists include:

·         Sarah Craig ’11, Digital Assistant, Shine Reveille, Los Angeles

·         Jeff Haun ’99, Director, Program Management, Possible Worldwide

·         Valerie Miller, ’92, Corporate Communications Manager, E.W. Scripps

·         Brian Niesz 02’, Audio Engineer, Ultrasuede Studios

·         Alex Parks ’09, Producer, Lightborne

·         Dan Roark ’04, News Videographer, WLWT-TV

·         Ben Wade ’02, Owner, All Web Now


The division invites all current students, as well as recent graduates, to attend.  Other UC students may find the advice helpful too and they are invited as well.

The panel will be held in Mary Emery Hall, Room 3250, from 9:00-10:15 a.m., with a reception immediately following in the Baur Room.
