A new professor specializing in audio production will join the E-Media faculty in August.

Lorin Parker comes to UC from Texas where he taught audio production at the Art Institute of Austin.  Earlier he taught at the Art Institute of California in Los Angeles.

“I am deeply honored to be joining the Electronic Media faculty at CCM,” Mr. Parker said.

“I am very impressed by the program, with its unique and multifaceted approach to media in the 21st century.  I am looking forward to collaborating with students and colleagues on exciting new projects.”

As a production specialist, Mr. Parker has collaborated with filmmakers, choreographers, video game designers, and installation designers.

He has professional performance experience on the double bass in a variety of styles including chamber music, jazz, rock and western swing.

Students will meet Mr. Parker fall semester when he teaches Multitrack Production and two sections of Digital Audio.

Mr. Parker’s undergraduate work in music technology was at the University of Colorado at Denver.  He earned a Masters of Fine Arts in 2006 at the California Institute of the Arts.

We welcome Lorin Parker to the E-Media family.
