Three Top Awards for E-Media Students

Congratulations to E-Media students who won three first place awards at the recent conference of the National Broadcasting Society.

Junior Tim Neumann and his crew won top honors for their recording of the band The Sound Museum, part of the Queen City Sessions series, taped in the E-Media studio during fall semester.  Queen City Sessions is a collaboration between E-Media and the student groups MEISA and NBS.

Juniors Dan Marque and Jeremiah Kirby-Scott won first place honors for the promotional video they did for the Cincinnati Children’s Choir.

The other first place award went to 2012 graduate Nick Lipari for his opening sequence for the student produced movie, Last Night in Town.

All of the award winning productions can be viewed on Youtube.

“This is great news for the students, the division, and for the resurgence this year of our chapter of NBS,” said Division Head Marjorie Fox.  “Thanks to the students and assistant professor Lakshmi Tirumala, who is the NBS advisor.”
