Savvy E-Media students know: a great way to jump ahead in the E-Media curriculum is to enroll in summer classes.
Incoming students are urged to sign up for two classes that are offered the first term of summer school starting June 21. They are History of E-Media and Sight Sound and Motion.
More advanced students may also enroll in upper level classes during summer school. Those offerings include Digital Sight Sound and Motion and Survey of Mass Media Technologies.
Advanced students can also take Ethics of Mass Media and Sound for Picture, or a new offering, Special Topics: Media and Sports.
“Statistics show that fewer than 30 percent of UC students graduate in four years,” said E-Media Division Head Marjorie Fox.
“E-Media students have a better chance of getting their degree on time if they make a point of taking summer classes.”
Summer classes meet every day for three-and-half weeks. Summer terms start June 21, July 15, and August 9.
Incoming students who want to enroll in summer school should pick up a form from CCM Admissions which will enable them to register for classes at the One Stop Center.
There are also opportunities for non-majors to enroll in some of the E-Media classes. They should contact the instructor for permission.
