Austin Padgett
Austin D. Padgett hails from Milton, Florida, a
small town located on the Blackwater River. He received a B. M. in music theory
and composition from Samford University and is currently a student at the
University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music.
Austin has presented research and compositions across the United States. His
specific research interests include British music, particularly the effects of
empire on music in Britain and her colonies, and composer Paul Creston.
Austin was a finalist for the Rhodes and Marshall Scholarship competitions in
2004. He has also performed in Russia.
