Paul PattersonNow in his 17th season as a Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra violinist, Paul Patterson enjoys playing chamber music (a frequent performer on the CSO chamber series), jazz, and fiddle. In addition, he is an accomplished banjo, guitar, and mandolin player, and often plays these instruments with the Cincinnati Pops or Symphony. As a violist, he performs on a CD of chamber works by Frank Proto ("Ensemble Sans Frontieres"). Paul has recorded two CD's with the local jazz band "Fabien", improvising on the 5-string electric violin, and is currently working on a CD of his own compositions. He is a former violin student of Conny Kiradjieff, Jens Ellerman, and Paul Makanowitzky, and is a native of Clifton.
