This year CCM Prep offers three courses that are designed for adults with a passion for community theater. Our popular voice class on Tuesday night, coupled with an adult acting class, will work together to integrate songs and scenes from great musicals. On Saturdays we will be offering a dance class especially for adults with limited dance experience. Ballet, musical theatre, tap and conditioning will be offered during each semester. Take any two of these classes as a package and take $10 off your tuition!
Two 10-week courses for adults to explore efficient vocal technique are available. Voice 101 is in a lecture/group participation format. It includes a study of vocal mechanics, care and maintenance of the voice, voice type characteristics, and an assessment of the student’s voice. It is intended for non-professional singers who want to learn a solid basic technique that can be adapted to any vocal style. The student is assigned at least one song to prepare and perform as a group. Voice 102 is set up in the master class format, where each student will work on individual songs they want to study and improve. The class will be handled in the manner of a master class, where all have the opportunity to sing and learn from each other.
