Audrey Zinninger studied with Dr. Brett Shuster while attaining her Bachelor’s in Music at the University of Louisville, School of Music. She graduated in May 2007 and later attended the University of Cincinnati’s, College-Conservatory of Music. She obtained her Master’s in Music later in June 2009 with the help of Professor Timothy Anderson as her mentor.
She has now visited fourteen different countries—twelve in Europe—and traveled on four musical tours as an ambassador of Wind Studies or New Music. She has also toured New York City twice and even performed in Carnegie Hall playing principal in her school’s Wind Symphony and Orchestra on the past trip.
Adept at the tenor and alto trombones as well as sackbut, Zinninger prides herself on her versatility among instruments and multiple genres. Her various musical tours and travels include the World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles Conference in Killarney, Ireland; Brass in Frankenwald (a chamber music festival run by the Rekkenze Brass Quintet) in Antwerp-Belgium, Bremen, Höf, and Bayreuth-Germany; The 75th Anniversary Gala Celebration & Concert at Carnegie Hall; An Ambassador of Wind Studies at the Akademia Muzyczna in Katowice, Poland; College Band Directors National Association Conference in New York City; and a participant in the 2004 Kentucky Ambassadors of Music.
