Hitomi Koyoma

A native of Tokyo, Hitomi Koyoma started playing piano when she was ten years old. After moving to the U.S. as an exchange student, she studied music at the Juilliard School. She completed her master’s degree at the Mannes College of Music in 2006 and moved to Vienna, Austria to study at the University for Music and Performing Arts Vienna. In 2009, Koyama returned to the U.S. to pursue her doctoral degree at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.

She is a consecutive Dichler Competition prize winner and also received Leni Fe Bland Music Awards. In performance, Koyama has appeared at various venues, including the Lincoln Center, the Spanish Institute, Steinway Hall, Yamaha Salon in New York, Flickinger Center in New Mexico, Bösendorfer Hall, Liszt Hall, Konzerthaus Wien in Austria, Murasaki Hall, Aimu Hall and Amyu Tachikawa Hall in Japan.
