UC-Blue Ash

Formerly known as Raymond Walters College, University of Cincinnati Blue Ash is located at 9555 Plainfield Road in Blue Ash, Ohio. CCM Prep classes take place in Muntz Hall, either in Muntz Auditorium or in Rooms 200-211. Click here for maps of the region, campus and Muntz Hall's second floor.

Spring 2012 session, March 24-May 19

New! Fiddle Class — This introductory six-week fiddle class will cover standard tunes from folk, bluegrass and Celtic traditions. Emphasis will be on playing by ear with supplemental musical notation. Instructor: Diane Cline. All ages; best for students with at least one year of playing experience; 10-11 a.m., six-week session April 14-May 19. Cost: $100. There is a 20% discount for CCM Prep violin students.

Family Music for Toddlers — Toddlers learn basic rhythm and tonal patterns through singing, dancing and play. Instructor: Mary Rekers. Ages 18 months-4 years; 9:30-10:05 a.m. Cost: $110. There’s a free “try it” class at 10:30 a.m., March 10 at Blue Ash Public Library, 4911 Cooper Road.

Guitar Class —  Students learn basic strumming, hand techniques and simple chords. Instructor: Jeremy Collins. Ages 8-12; 10-11 a.m., March 24-May 19. Cost: $100.

Acting — Students learn basic theatre and improve skills. Instructor: Kevin Crowley. Ages 10-13; 11 a.m.-noon, March 24-May 19. Cost: $100

Private music lessons — Voice, guitar, violin, piano and other instruments upon request.

Primary Ballet and Tap Combo — For ages 4-5. Wednesdays:  2:15-3:15 p.m.

Beginning Ballet/Tap — For ages 5-7. Mondays, 4:30-5:30 p.m. Eight-week sessions are $100. Discount of $10 available to UC students and JCC members.
