CCM Computer Laboratory (3207 Mary Emery Hall)

The CCM Laboratory contains both PC's and Macintosh computers. It is set up as a classroom, as CCM faculty occasionally use the laboratory to give computer-based instruction. Open hours are posted outside the door. You must be a current CCM student to gain access to this laboratory.

If you have any trouble with the hardware, software, or the condition of the laboratory, please report it to the laboratory assistant working in the lab. The assistant should be able to help you--if not, make sure to ask that the problem be reported to the Lab Supervisor.

Additional Computer Lab Information

Software/Hardware Requests and Upgrading

To upgrade the equipment/software in the lab, a student should first contact their faculty advisor. The request will be given to appropriate administrative and IT staff who will determine whether the upgrade/new equipment is needed and/or affordable. The same procedure is used to suggest new software for use at CCM.

Important: No unauthorized person is permitted to install software on any university computer. CCM's Technology Department installs all software.

CCM Smart Classrooms

CCM has installed "Smart Classroom" features in many of its classrooms. These include: turntables, VCR's, DVD's, computers, laptop hookups, CD players, etc. All can be viewed by the class via projector.

CCM is constantly trying to keep the equipment upgraded as well as secure. Students who discover a theft or vandalism should immediately attempt to report it to a faculty member. If no faculty member is immediately available, the student should call UC Public Saftey directly at 556-1111. Report the theft or vandalism with as much detail as you can provide. Thank you for doing your part in keeping CCM a beautiful and well-equipped facility!
