Playwrights Conference

Your ideas from page to stage!

June 12-17, 2017

CCM's Playwright's Conference is open to playwrights of all experience levels. Participants will write, take master classes with industry professionals and attend readings of their works. The conference culminates with a public performance, where CCM actors will present a staged reading of excerpts from each playwrights' work.

Those who have a script that they’d like to workshop while they are with us will have a ten-minute section of their play read for an audience at the end of the conference. Those who are just beginning to explore playwriting will write a ten-minute play while they’re here, and that play will be read for an audience at the culminating performance.

CCM Playwrights Conference offers two different tracks: Development and Fundamentals. The Development Track is for participants who already have a play that they want to work on during the conference. The Fundamentals Track is for participants who want to learn the nuts & bolts of playwriting.
