Early Childhood Programs

Future Stars

For ages 3-6
Morning Session | June 5-9, 9 a.m.-noon
Afternoon Session | June 5-9, 1-4 p.m.

Each day of this playful camp, future stars will make believe, twirl on their toes, march to the drum and learn about the performing arts all while having fun. Acting, dancing, music making and singing will be taught by our talented and experienced faculty. By the end of the week you’ll be cheering and applauding our newest stars!

CCM/SCPA Suzuki Summer Strings Camp
at School for Creative and Performing Arts

For students in K through grade 6
June 12-16, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Performance on June 16 at 2 p.m.

Tuition: $225

Practice your instrument, gain new friends and have fun learning and reviewing skills and songs while improving your technique! CCM Preparatory faculty are planning a full week of classes, rehearsals, enrichment, themed days and games for Suzuki string students from pre-twinkle through Book 4 (students will be placed in age appropriate groups). Previous Suzuki experience is required.

The camp is held at the beautiful School for Creative and Performing Arts, located at 108 W. Central Parkway in downtown Cincinnati. Parent attendance is optional. After-camp care is available from 4-5 p.m. for a nominal fee of $40 for the entire week.

Primary Ballet Classes

For students ages 4-6
Saturdays, 10-11 a.m. | June 17 and through July 29, no class July 1

CCM Preparatory and area ballet students are encouraged to continue their study during the summer months at CCM. Students not enrolled in a CCM Preparatory dance class should contact the CCM Preparatory dance office at 513-556-3214 for more information.

"Once Upon a Time…” Storytime Ballet Camp  

For ages 5-8
July 17-21, 9 a.m.-noon
Jonnie Lynn Jacobs-Percer, director
Tuition: $125

Get ready to arabesque and pirouette in our popular and fun ballet camp that introduces students to traditional story ballets. Each day includes a related craft, videos of the ballets and a daily ballet class focusing on basic ballet vocabulary and technique. An informal student performance for family and friends takes place in the ballet studio on the final day. Students should wear ballet attire, which includes a leotard, tights and ballet shoes.  Prior ballet instruction is not necessary.
