The College-Conservatory of Music, one of America's leading performing arts schools, and the nationally-recognized College of Business combine resources to train administrative leadership for professional performing arts and visual arts organizations. Emphasis is placed upon preparing students to make sound decisions within the context of rapidly changing internal and external circumstances.

Coursework in business theory and practice is applied to the specific operating conditions of orchestras, theatres, opera companies, dance companies, museums, galleries, and other not-for-profit and commercial arts institutions.

Students learn within a thriving arts environment, providing numerous opportunities to gain practical management experience. The City of Cincinnati supports eight major performing and visual arts organizations, two performing arts centers and hundreds of smaller arts groups. These organizations provide practical experience and job opportunities for the program's students. The College-Conservatory of Music is one the region's primary arts providers, presenting 1000 student, faculty, and guest artist performances each year.

The Arts Administration program is small and selective, accepting only eight to ten students per class. This allows for a great deal of individual attention and concentration on developing the potential of each graduate student. Founded in 1976, the program has trained nearly 250 students, 80% of whom currently hold positions with professional arts organizations.
