Chandler Bates

Chandler Bates
Farmers Branch, TX

Chandler Bates is from Farmers Branch, Texas and is thrilled to continue her training here at CCM! Her credits include Jessica in This Is Our Youth (a CCM lab production directed by Josh Reiter class of 2018), Nadira in God and Sheila (Transmigration a Festival of New Works), Barnardo/Ensemble in Hamlet and Actor in Love and Information (CCM Mainstage). She recently directed Fool’s Gold: A Rom-Com in 4755 (a CCM lab production). Outside of acting, she enjoys painting, singing, photography and making Dubsmashes with her friends and family. Jabari Carter

Jabari Carter
Atlanta, GA

Jabari is excited to continue with his second year of training at CCM. His recent stage works include Romeo and Juliet (Gregory), Naked Strangers an original devised piece in the Cincinnati Fringe Festival, Danny and the Deep Blue Sea (Danny), the Cincinnati One Minute Play Festival, a staged reading of The Earth is Flat by Todd Almond (Student Librarian, Boyfriend), a staged reading of Middletown (Greg), "Vices" (Transmigration 2016 at CCM), and On The Other Hand. His film credits include, "Sunday" (CCM 48 Hour Film Festival, Dancer), “Anymore” and "Grey" films produced by Pajama Island Productions.

Zoe Cotsias

Richmond, VA

Zoe Cotzias hails from Richmond, Virginia where she graduated high school from Henrico High School’s Center for the Arts in 2016. While in VA she participated in school, youth, and professional productions throughout the Richmond area. Some of her favorite stage work includes Julie in Oblivion (Richmond Theatre Critic's Circle nomination for Most Promising Newcomer), Elizabeth Bennet in Pride and Prejudice, The Witch in Into the Woods, and Titania in Midsummer. Film credits include ‘Shaving Cream’ as Addy (CCM E-Media), ‘Behind the Scenes’ as Emma (CCM E-Media), and ‘Off the Page’ as Friend (CCM 48-Hour Film Festival). Upcoming stage credits include: Cincinnati Fringe Festival’s Vapers at the Gate, and CCM’s fall mainstage, Hamlet. She is so excited to be a sophomore in CCM Acting this year as a member of the class of 2020!

Matthew Fox

Matt is a current sophomore at CCM. During his first year in the program, Matt was involved in God and Sheila, a new works production, and in a student-led lab show entitled On the Other Hand. In addition to this, Matt has had principle roles in two short films that were shot off campus and won a Best Supporting Actor award for his work in the 2016 48 Hour Film Festival at CCM. Matt has also participated in numerous intensives, including writing and improv classes at Second City in Chicago, NSLC for Theatre at Fordham University, and Musical Theatre Overtures at Baldwin Wallace University. Some of Matt’s favorite roles include Edward in Big FishHarold Hill in The Music ManMortimer in Arsenic and Old LaceAl Lewis in The Sunshine Boysand Dr. Jason Posner in Wit.

Matt loves movies, comic books, making others laugh, God, his dogs, his family and his friends. Matt also has a great love for the outdoors. He is a fourth generation Eagle Scout. Matt cannot wait to have three more exciting years at CCM!

Paige Jordan

Paige Lindsay Jordan
Chicago, IL

Paige is a sophomore Acting major at CCM. She's participated in a staged reading of Intimate Apparel (Mrs. Dickson) in collaboration with Cincinnati Opera's OperaFusion: New Works, and "Randy the Reference Guy" in CCM's 48 Hour Film Festival. She had the honor of being a part of  CCM's commissioned play, The Earth is Flat, by Todd Almond. Her latest credit is CCM Acting's Mainstage production of Love and Information as an ensemble member. Training includes masterclasses with Sandy Logan (Los Angeles), and Stephanie Klapper (New York). A native of the South Side of Chicago, Paige loves green tea flavored anything, dark chocolate, and burning incense.

Jeremy Maislin

Jeremy is elated to be entering his sophomore year at CCM! This last year he performed in Transmigration: A Festival Of New Works as the Carpet in The Happiest People on Earth. Jeremy was also an actor in the 48 Hour Film Festival in the short film 'I Wish I Could Feel Like This Every Day'. He can't wait to return to CCM where he will immediately begin rehearsals for Hamlet, where he will be playing Francisco and the Priest.  

Gabriela Medina

Gabriela is ecstatic to continue her Acting career at CCM as a sophomore. Her most recent work includes Vapors at The Gate, directed by Dan Winters; for the Cincinnati Fringe Festival (Ensemble and Assistant Stage Manager). Her film credits include: ‘Paramore’ (Christine) Nightwatcher in ‘Nightwatcher and Bolt’, ‘Dear Liv’ (Olivia) in her first 48 Hour Film Festival at CCM, and, you can also see her in the film “Killing of a Sacred Deer” directed by Yorgos Lanthimos and starring Nichole Kidman and Collin Farrell.

During high school Gaby participated in, National Arts Honors Society, DIY Club, Cross Country, and Drama Club. She discovered her passion for acting in the summer of 2015 after attending CCM’s Summer Immersion program. Her onstage credits include: Diana Bell in Theophilus North and Juliet in Romeo and Juliet. For the role of Diana Bell, Gabriela has a Cappie nomination for best featured actress.

Gabriela is always doing something new and loves to learn about herself with every project she participates in. Briley Oakley

Briley Oakley 
Henderson, NV

Briley Oakley is a Sophomore at University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music (CCM). She was born and raised in Henderson, NV surrounded by mountains and was only a short 15-minute drive to the infamous Las Vegas Strip. Recently, she was Voltemand in Hamlet at CCM, Anna in Lifeboat that was a part of CCM’s Transmigration Festival of New Works and The Runner in the 48-Hour Film Festival Short, 'Craig'. She was also the Stage Manager for the devised piece of collaborative theatre, On The Other Hand directed by Gabriella DiVincenzo and the Co-Producer for P3M5 Project at CCM partnered with the Goethe Institute. With classmates Sarah Durham and Graham Rogers, she helps run a production company, Pajama Island Productions (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0_j3poVDN-gF8BRgQthWiQ), and she was also a production intern at the creative agency Rebel Pilgrim in Cincinnati, OH this past summer. Film is a deep-rooted passion in her life, and she can’t wait to see what she will continue to learn as she aims to spread important stories to wider audiences. Her artistic style is constantly growing into new and exciting things because of the opportunities that CCM challenges her with daily.

Abby Palen

Abby Palen
Union, KY

Abby is pumped to jump back into CCM for her sophomore year. Her recent performances include Indiana in The Land of Milk and Honey (CCM Transmigration), Virginia in 'Tobacco Free UC' (University of Cincinnati), and Sk8ter Girl in 'Graham Street' (CCM 48-Hr Film Festival). Abby grew up in Kentucky, performing with Queen City Productions, Thomas Moore College, and Ryle High School. Through Ryle High School, she has also directed The Importance of Being Earnest, and her own devised work entitled The Speed of Life. Outside of acting, Abby enjoys smiling, hiking, DJ’ing car rides, and spontaneous adventures. She is thrilled to continue her artistic journey this year at CCM.

Madison Pullman

Madison Pullman
Chicago, IL

Madison is excited to return this fall for her second year at CCM. Her previous works last year included multiple student short films, the film lab, and a LAB production titled On The Other Hand. Over the summer she attended a Second City improv workshop and traveled to Greece. This year she looks forward to diving deeper into the work on and off the stage.

 

 

 

Jack Steiner

Jack Steiner
Olympia, WA

Jack Steiner is from Olympia, Washington, he has been part of theater productions since age 6 starting in youth musical theater programs, and venturing into more professional theater and school productions . He grew up attending the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and attributes this to his ongoing interest and love of Shakespeare's works. Some of his favorite roles have been Macbeth, Benvolio Romeo & Juliet, Duke of York in Richard III, as well as Johnny Cade in The Outsiders, Kevin in Happiest People On Earth, and as Daniel Rocket in The Rise and Rise of Daniel Rocket, whose cast won Washington State Best of Fest 2016. All this along with a growing list of short film work.

In the summer of 2015 and 2016 Jack attended the Berridge Conservatory in Normandy France: Craft of Acting, Stage and Film. He then went on to the BADA Midsummer Conservatory in Oxford England: Shakespeare Intensive. Other activities include nature walks, nature photography, and hunting for good music.
