Jeremy J. Lee has been designing sound professionally since 1996. He got his start at the venerable Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and his work has been heard at theaters around the country and around the world. From 2003 to 2013, he lived and worked in NYC, designing dozens of shows off-Broadway, as well as acting as the assistant or associate designer on many Broadway shows.Some favorite shows include Somewhere by Matthew Lopez (Old Globe Theatre, Theatreworks Palo Alto, Director: Giovanna Sardelli); Tamar Of The River (off-Broadway, Director: Daniel Goldstein); Death of a Salesman (Old Globe Theatre, Director: Pam MacKinnon), John Guare’s Rich and Famous (Actors Conservatory Theatre, Director: John Rando), Working (off-Broadway, Director: Gordon Greenberg), Adam Bock’s The Thugs (SoHo Rep, Director: Anne Kauffman), John Fugelsang’s All The Wrong Reasons (New York Theatre Workshop, Director: Pam MacKinnon) and A Midsummer Night's Dream (Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Director : Penny Metropulos, Music by Oregon). International design work includes Nilo Cruz’s Pais de Bicicleta (Festival Iberoamericano de Teatro de Bogotá – Spanish Language Premiere), The Ohmies (Canada, Dubai and NYC) and the associate designer for The Bridge Project 2010 World Tour (Asia, Europe and Brooklyn Academy of Music).

Lee won a Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Award for his score to Mothers Against at Berkeley Repertory Theatre in 2003, and an Austin Critics Table Award for his designs for the 2002-03 season. He was nominated for a Helen Hayes Award in Washington D.C. for his design of The Studio in 2008.
Lee has been an active member of IATSE USA-829 since 2001. As part of his commitment to the sound design community, he has served as the Sound Design Trustee on the Eastern Regional Board of USA-829 since 2008, and has been part of the LORT and Broadway negotiating teams.

Before joining the faculty at CCM, Lee was an adjunct at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.
