Musical Theatre Open House

If you have been accepted into or wait-listed for CCM's Musical Theatre Program, you may wish to attend an Open House hosted by our faculty, staff and students. Even if you have visited the campus, seen the Corbett Center for the Performing Arts, met the faculty and students and experienced some of our classes, you may enjoy this weekend of learning opportunities and performances.

The idea behind our Musical Theatre Open House is to give accepted students a small taste of what life at CCM on a daily basis can be. The weekend includes an orientation session, a tour of the theatres, master classes and demonstrations with the Musical Theatre faculty, observation of rehearsals for our Freshman and Senior Showcases and a ticket to our production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Jesus Christ Superstar in the Patricia Corbett Theatre. There are also special sessions for CCM "Parents-To-Be" and we would be happy to recommend hotels and restaurants for your stay.

This year, the “Open House” Weekend for all prospective students will be held on March 2 & 3, 2018. The schedule for the weekend is as follows:

  • Hello and Welcome
  • Jazz Dance Class
  • Vocal Coaching Class
  • Meeting for Parents
  • Senior Showcase Rehearsal
  • Acting Workshop
  • Voice Master Class
  • Freshman Showcase Rehearsal
  • Rehearsal/Demo of Studio Show

  • Everything You Wanted to Know About CCM
  • Tour of Campus & Theatres
  • Characterization Through Song
  • Jesus Christ Superstar Performance
  • Meet the Cast/Wrap Up

If you would like to visit Cincinnati on our Open House Weekend, please contact Professor Vince DeGeorge ( to reserve your space. You will be registered for all classes, rehearsals, performances and meetings. Each student attendee will receive one complimentary ticket to Jesus Christ Superstar. Parents and friends wishing to attend the performance may purchase tickets at a discount rate, pending availability.

If you would like to visit CCM at any other time, Andrea Fitzgerald and the staff in the Office of Admissions can set up a schedule for you. This would include a campus tour, a theatre tour, and observation of classes or rehearsals. You could also request a meeting with the theatre faculty and all our majors will be standing by to talk to you about our program. You may contact the Office of Admissions at or 513-556-5463.
