Legally Blonde is profound, silly, refreshing

“What’s really refreshing about this production is that, as Elle, Sarah Bishop gives a measure of humanity that we rarely get to see. We see Elle develop a conscience and compassion and – heaven forbid – come to love a man to whom she never would have given the time of day at the outset of the show.

Lala and costume designer Reba Senske surround Bishop with a production that is sassy and stylish and spirited. What Lala doesn’t do it rush it. Rush too much, and you end up with stereotypes. They might be fun stereotypes, but, by pacing it this way, Lala actually gives her student performers a chance to act.”

Cincinnati Enquirer

Legally Blonde – The Musical is an energetic, satisfying show and CCM has brought all of the elements together continuing their reputation as one of the best musical theatre programs in the country. Of the five productions I’ve seen, Lawson Young as Elle is by far the best and that includes the national tour and Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera.”
