Ariel Quartet Concert Series

A Four-Part Concert Series Showcasing CCM's String Quartet-in-Residence

Named quartet-in-residence at CCM in 2012, the Ariel Quartet has been praised by the New York Times for its "full-blooded, dynamic playing." The Quartet brings that excitement back to CCM for its 2018-19 concert season, which features works by Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Bartók, Brahms and more on the following dates:

  • 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, in Corbett Auditorium 
  • 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, in Corbett Auditorium
  • 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, in Corbett Auditorium
  • 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, in Corbett Auditorium

Season highlights include a collaboration with guest artist Yura Lee, viola, who joins the string quartet for its final performance of the season on March 26.

  • MENDELSSOHN: String Quartet No. 5 in E-flat Major, Op. 44, No. 3
  • BARTÓK: String Quartet No. 4
