CCM Faculty/Staff FAQ

Our current plan is to offer more in-person activities this year, including face-to-face classes, public performances and other on-campus events — providing students, faculty, staff and visitors with the best CCM experience possible while maintaining the health and wellness of our community.

The health and safety measures outlined on UC’s Public Health website provide the operational framework that CCM will follow this fall. As we move forward together as a community, let’s also remember our campus practices may need to change as conditions develop based on guidance from the CDC and UC’s physician-led COVID response team.

COVID-19 Classroom Guide has been created to assist faculty and instructors with protocols regarding COVID-19. Guidelines are included to help faculty and staff understand the contact tracing process, what to do if a student in their class tests positive for COVID-19 and how to reduce risk of exposure and transmission in the classroom.

Fall 2021 Return to Campus Updates

FAQs For Fall 2021 Activities

Below is a set of frequently asked questions (FAQs) and answers that are specific to CCM.

These questions are reviewed and revised as new information develops, so please check back often. If the State provides further direction for public institutions, the University of Cincinnati will adapt accordingly.

COVID-19 Classroom Guide has been created to assist faculty and instructors with protocols regarding COVID-19.Guidelines are included to help faculty understand the contact tracing process, what to do if a student in their class tests positive for COVID-19 and how to reduce risk of exposure and transmission in the classroom.

Current campus expectations, as of August 5, 2021:

Given the most-recent developments with the virus, and in keeping with new guidance from the CDC, we will require all individuals, both fully vaccinated and those not fully vaccinated, to wear a facial covering indoors (unless you have received an exemption or accommodation; or when eating, drinking, or alone in a private room).

Learn more about campus requirements to wear facial coverings

To safeguard the campus community, and in response to the FDA's full approval of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, the University of Cincinnati is requiring faculty, staff and students to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

The deadline for all UC students, faculty and staff to have at least the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine is October 15, 2021. Those receiving a two-dose sequence must have the second dose by November 15, 2021.

Proof of COVID-19 vaccination can be submitted using the web version of the UC COVID Check App.

To further encourage vaccination against COVID-19, the university will conduct drawings for weekly awards in varying amounts of $2,500 or $5,000, depending on the week. In all, the university will award nearly $50,000. Learn more on UC Public Health's website.

Students enrolled for Fall 2021 who have received their COVID-19 vaccinations and voluntarily report those to the university are eligible to enter and win!

Similarly, faculty and staff who have received their COVID-19 vaccinations and voluntarily report those to the university are eligible to win awards too.

If you have not yet been vaccinated, COVID-19 vaccination is available to members of the campus community through many medical providers and pharmacies, including UC Health and Hamilton County Health Collaborative.

All vaccinated students, faculty and staff may voluntarily submit snapshots of your vaccination card (front and back), and you may upload those at uccovidcheck@ucmail.uc.edu. Please do not submit other personal information to this address.

We anticipate CCM’s performance halls will be open to the public for the fall 2021 semester, allowing audiences to experience events in person again. Based on current conditions, venues will be reduced to 50% capacity and all individuals will be required to wear facial coverings indoors. Additional measures may be in place as conditions develop based on guidance from the CDC and UC’s physician-led COVID response team.
