The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance with an emphasis in Ballet is a four-year program.  Ballet Techniques and Modern Dance Techniques are required every semester for four years.  Dance Ensemble is required for four semesters. Technique of Ballet Instruction (3 credit) is required. Recomended dance electives:  Dance Conditioning. Repertoire, Alexander Techniques, Special Topics in Dance, Pas de Deux, Yoga and Stagecraft.

CCM Dance Major Class Schedule For First Year Students

Courses listed below are required both semesters unless otherwise noted.

This schedule equals 18 credit hours. 12 credit hours = full time student

A student may take up to 18 credit hours per term.

Note that if a student takes 15 credit hours each semester the total number of required credit hours for the BFA in Dance (120) will be met in four years.

General Academic Requirements

Freshmen English Composition (3 credit hours for *one semester, or other academic course if student has AP credit for English)

One 3 hour Academic Course each term, to be selected from any of the general academic categories listed in the CCM Bulletin under Dance degree requirements.
