Brandon Kisker has recently been selected as a Broadcaster/Media Relations and Digital Media Manager for the Stockton Thunder ECHL Hockey team located in Stockton, California.
A 2012 graduate of the University of Cincinnati’s Electronic Media program, Kisker worked three seasons with the ACHA Division II Cincinnati Bearcats hockey club as their Director of New Media and Broadcasting. During that time, he served as one of the official broadcasters for the inaugural Tri-State Collegiate Hockey League Playoffs. He continues to act as an advisor with the club. Additionally, he called a number of Division I Bearcat games and served as General Manager and Assistant Sports Director with Bearcast, the University of Cincinnati’s student radio station.
In 2011, Kisker joined the NHL’s Tampa Bay Lightning as their Broadcast and Community Hockey intern. Kisker was responsible for assisting the Lightning Radio Network’s game day coverage, which included conducting player interviews, producing daily schedule and score updates for radio affiliates, and cutting highlights. He called a number of Florida High School hockey games including the Lightning Cup Championship game as well as games for the University of South Florida and the University of Tampa. In addition to the Lightning, Brandon worked with the Arena Football League’s, Tampa Bay Storm by producing their sideline and post game reporter.
Kisker enjoys volunteering his time working with young hockey players on the ice, on the roller rink, or in the streets. Growing the game and assisting in the development of players on the rink is the driving force behind his passion in this sport.
