Our curriculum features seminars and special topics courses, which change every year and reflect the specialties of our faculty and the interests of our students. Students will receive solid grounding in traditional approaches to music history and musicology but will also be able to explore new approaches to research and scholarship. Our Musicology Colloquium covers various aspects of professional life, such as compiling a CV or writing a book review, and also offers students the opportunity to present their research and participate in scholarly discourse. The ethnomusicology program encompasses both research and performance.
