CJS has made several international performing tours of Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, Canada, China and Hong Kong. At the conductor’s discretion, one student will be awarded a full tuition scholarship for the year.

This is an auditioned ensemble. All slots have been filled for the 2019-20 school year. Check back for next year's audition information.

For a CJS audition, students must prepare:

1.  Scales - 2 or 3 octave major scales

2.  Solo - The prepared solo should demonstrate the student's playing abilities.  CJS members must be able to shift, do vibrato, demonstrate bow control, play in a variety of key signatures with a variety of rhythms.

3.  Sightreading - Sightreading for CJS will include rhythmic, key signature, bowing and fingering challenges.
