Immersion Acting Workshop

Acting Workshop

June 16 - June 29

The Immersion Acting Workshop is an intensive two-week program where students study movement for the actor, stage combat, the Sanford Meisner technique, practical acting skills, rehearsal process, professional demeanor, audition technique and acting as a career.

Faculty includes CCM Preparatory, CCM faculty plus guest artists and instructors.


Tuition is $900. Tuition is due at registration. Spaces are still available.  


Students may audition for the Acting Workshop either online or in-person. Priority is given to applications received by the published deadlines.

Online Audition

Online auditions will open January 7, 2019 and close May 15, 2019 ( There is a $30 fee to audition online. Select "CCM Preparatory Department and "Acting Workshop" from the drop down lists to start your application. (It is possible auditions will remain open until April 1st.)

In-Person Audition

In-person auditions TBD. 

Audition Requirements

All students should prepare the following for their audition

  • In-person auditionees: Headshot OR Get accepted auditionees: Close up shot with slate
  • One-page resume
  • Two (2) contrasting monologues under two (2) minutes in length
  • A completed teacher recommendation form (click to download)

Immersion Housing

Any student attending an Immersion program who is age 14 or older may live on campus at the University of Cincinnati. Housing is available for an additional fee. Click here for full housing details. Dorm check-in is Sunday, June 16, 2019 beginning at 2:00 pm. Check-out is Saturday, June 29, 2019.
