Making of a Music Major

Band - Making of a Music Major (3M)

Band-Making of a Music Major will not be offered in Summer 2020 due to the director being abroad.

Ann Porter, director

Are you considering becoming a music major in college? Whether you want to be a performer or teacher, this is the program that can help you develop the skills needed for admission to your dream school. In addition to high quality instrumental ensemble experiences, we will help you prepare to become a music major with seminars in nailing an audition, fundamentals of audition/admission procedures, career exploration in music, theory/musicianship basics and how to land the scholarship you need!

Making of a Music Major is the summer program for you if you play Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Sax, French horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba and Percussion.

Meet the faculty and interact with current students at CCM in large and small ensemble settings in our world-class facility. Optional private lessons available for an additional fee.

No auditions are required to enroll in this program; placement auditions take place in June.
