FortiCCMo Piano Workshop

The fortiCCMo Piano Immersion Workshop is a week long intensive piano program that aims to nurture talented high school piano students. During the week long program, the students will have the opportunity to take lessons with CCM esteemed faculty, collaborate with their peers in chamber music and perform in concerts and masterclasses. Students will gain an understanding of what it means to be a piano major at CCM and will get a glimpse of life as a professional musician.


2020 Tuition is $650 and includes a non-refundable deposit of $150.

The deposit must be paid by April 15. Tuition payments must be received by May 1.


Faculty includes CCM faculty Dror Biran, Michael Chertock, Michelle Conda and Sandra Rivers, and CCM Preparatory Faculty Takako Frautschi and Nozomi Yamaguchi.

Early Bird Registrations

If you are accepted by audition and register by March 1, 2020, you may be eligible for an adjudicated merit scholarship.

Select advanced students may have the opportunity to perform duo literature with advanced cellists from the Cincinnati Young Artists Summer Cello Academy.

Online Audition Only

Online auditions will open in early November and close March 15*, 2020 ( There is a $30 fee to audition online. Select "CCM Preparatory Department" and "FortiCCMo Piano Workshop" from the drop down lists to start your application.

Audition Requirements

All students should prepare the following for their audition

  • One movement from a classical sonata
  • One additional piece from a contrasting style
  • Repertoire list of pieces studied in the past two years. Please indicate piece/s that have been memorized and ready to be performed in a recital.
  • Have your teacher complete a recommendation form
    • Teachers can complete the recommendation process online through Get Acceptd  
    • Alternately, teachers can complete this form (click to download) and either fax it to 513-556-1972 or email it to

Immersion Housing

Any student attending an Immersion program who is age 14 to 17 may live on campus at the University of Cincinnati. Housing is available for an additional fee. Click here for full housing details. Dorm check-in is Sunday, June 14, 2020 beginning at 2:00 pm. Check-out is Friday, June 19, 2020 for this 1-week camp. Students flying out should search for flights after 6pm on Friday, June 19th.

Sample Daily Schedule

  • 8:30-9:30 a.m. – Immersion Class - (sight reading, group piano, etc.)
  • 9:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. – Practice Time
  • 12:00-2:00 p.m. – Lunch and Immersion Class
  • 2:00-5:00 p.m. – Solo, Duo piano lessons and practice time with duo partner
  • 5:00-6:15 p.m. – Dinner break
  • 6:30-8:30 p.m. – Activity, Master class
