Comments, Compliments & Complaints

Are you a student with a comment, concern, compliment or complaint to share? CCM welcomes and encourages student feedback of all types. We will review your feedback, refer you to resources and appropriately address your concern or complaint.

If you do have a concern or complaint, the best first step is to discuss it directly with the individual or departments involved. They will be best prepared to answer questions, help address or resolve issues, or refer you to the person or resource that can most capably help. The UC College-Conservatory of Music’s faculty and staff directory provides contact information for all departments within our college. You can also access a listing of all divisional and departmental leadership on our website.

If you would like advice or guidance about what the appropriate process or next steps are for discussing a concern or complaint, please contact CCM’s Academic Affairs Office at ccmcolof@uc.edu.

The following issues should be addressed through college or university processes and resources:

• Grade grievances: See the CCM Student Handbook at the CCM Community Canvas site (logon required)
• Student behavior concerns (non-academic misconduct): Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards Incident Reporting form

• Sex-based discrimination or harassment or violence, or discrimination on the basis of any other status protected by law (collectively, “protected class”): Office of Equal Opportunity

• Privacy of student record: Office of the Registrar FERPA resources
