Awards and Grants

CCMpower Awards and Grants

One of the most important contributions that the CCMpower Board of Trustees can make to the arts community is to provide awards and grants to CCM students and recent alumni. CCMpower encourages exceptional artistic expression, enhanced education, community involvement in the arts and inspiring career growth.

We encourage students and recent alumni to take advantage of the financial support that CCMpower is proud to offer you. You may apply often, but you may receive only one award/grant per category per academic year. If you receive an award, we ask that you attend a CCMpower Board of Trustees meeting or event to share your experiences and inspire others.

Funding Opportunities for Recent Alumni and Current Students

Generally, these awards and grants are used for costs related to tuition for extra-curricular or summer programs, supplies and equipment for creative innovations and support needed to advance artistic diversity and collaboration. CCM faculty may be involved in the project or initiative for which a scholarship is awarded, but the primary recipient must be a current CCM student or a recent CCM alumni who is a member of CCMpower. Students and CCM alumni can become CCMpower members for free. Recipients will be notified as soon as they are approved, within 30 days of submission of the application.

Student Travel

Through the support of the Office of the Dean and CCMpower, CCM is able to provide monetary assistance in support of individual student travel for a variety of special purposes. Please contact the CCM Admissions Office for more information.

The Harmony Fund

The Harmony Fund supports artistic works that fight hate and prejudice through the performing arts. Students and faculty can submit proposals for Harmony Fund support. Applications are open to CCM faculty and current students and are accepted beginning July 1 of each academic year, with a deadline of September 1 to apply. Funding decisions will be made on or before September 30. Applications should include a brief description of the project, how the project challenges hate and prejudice through the performance arts, a budget of expenses and a description of how Harmony Funds would be used. Please contact Elaine Cox for more information.

Funding for Faculty

Faculty can apply for funding to support master class opportunities to bring in guest artists to enhance artistic and educational growth for CCM students. Funding is typically awarded up to $500 per master class. Recipients will be notified as soon as they are approved, within 30 days of submission of the application.
