A preeminent institution for the performing and media arts, CCM offers nearly 120 possible majors, along with a wide variety of pre-collegiate and post-graduate programs. Upon being introduced by UC President Neville Pinto as the 2025 recipient of the William Howard Taft Medal for Notable Achievement at the UC Alumni Celebration in April, Darrell Miller gave in to the understandable urge within him, given his surroundings. There in historic Cincinnati Music Hall, he paused a moment, then belted out several bars of Nessun dorma from the Puccini opera Turandot, showing off a set of pipes that don’t get exercised all that often these days but remain mainstage-worthy.
